I was born in Emmett on October 5,1990 and decided this was where I wanted to stay..I love the small community atmosphere. I attend emmett high school and graduated in 2009. While attending high school I started my first job, at sixteen, as a waitress at the local Chinese restaurant. During high school, I completed my certified nursing assistant training and decided I wanted to continued my education in the health care field.
When I was eighteen I began my college career at the College of Western Idaho. I put in my two weeks at the restaurant and started to move towards bigger and better things. After my first year at CWI, I transferred to TVCC and continued my education in the health care field.
At this time I started my second job at A New Leaf, where I worked with children that had learning impairments. I loved it and realized I wanted to make a shift in my education towards psychology. I owe a huge part of my passion to help others to my mother. My mother is a home provider, she had put the main focus of her life on others. I grew up watching my mom take care of those who weren't able to care for themselves and some of the less fortunate that didn't have family to help them.
After a few years of working at A New Leaf, I heard about Cherry Gulch and had an interest to learn more. In march of 2012, I started as a direct care staff at Cherry Gulch. I fell in love with my new job immediately! I found it very rewarding and knew that I had made the right choice. After year of working as direct care, I was promoted to shift supervisor and couldn't have been more honored. As I continue my education I become more and more motivated to become a professional in child development, which is greatly due to my experience at Cherry Gulch.
