My name is Sue Heckman. I am originally from Denver, Colorado. I have 27 years of experience with children; that is when the first of my seven children was born. I have two boys and five girls—the youngest turned sixteen in October of 2008.

   I attended Metropolitan State College majoring in Political Science with a minor in Art. I have owned several small businesses over the last several years.

   I have worked in many capacities in schools and church in Denver, as well as in Emmett, Idaho. I was Recreation Program Supervisor for the Gem County Recreation District. My job there consisted of organizing all sports programs as well as their after-school programs. I also worked for the Gem County Chamber of Commerce as their Community Events Coordinator. A love for children has brought me to Cherry Gulch. I feel very blessed to work alongside a great group of caring individuals who take the time and energy to focus on each child and their particular concerns.
