Erik Larson has always been an outdoor person. This free-spirited
adventure seeker played a number of competitive sports during his high
school years that includes football, Basketball and track. Moving merely
2 years apart in several states has been a challenge for years, but that
doesn't stop Erik from doing what inspires him.
Born in California, he lead his way as a team captain in his high school
varsity basketball team in Pennsylvania. He always had passion in
exploring new heights after his graduation through places like South
Africa, Cozmel, the sierras, and the Bahamas, to name a few. He then
spent a couple of years studying at Las Positas Community College in
Livermore, CA and later moved to Emmett, ID to pursue BS in General
Business upon his acceptance at Boise State University. He was later
invited to coach the Emmett High School 9th Grade Basketball Team.
What drives Erik to pursue his self goal of continuing, helping, and
inspiring the young is his passion for fun little things. He might have
a lot of passion in application to his style of teaching but there is
nothing to define a bookworm, music lover, and someway strange hammock
collector all at the same time, for he has always been searching for new
ways of reinventing himself for the better of others.
"The only way to be the best, is to play with the best," he states. With
his innovative eye for out-of-the-box teaching skills will continue to
create new words of wisdom, highlighted from his extreme wilderness
adventures. Such statements and ways of reaching out to the young
sounding conceited, but they are no exaggerations. Equip with his life
guide advices, surely, Erik pushes a true Cherry Gulch motivation
amongst the young and enthusiasts in the wilderness of life.
